Looking Back At The Experience

Dom is amazing! My wife and I are extremely grateful to Dom. Our conversations with Dom blew us away, his knowledge of music, and how it can positively and negatively affect our wedding was extremely helpful. We basically got to the point where my wife and I just said "ok Dom, just have fun." It paid off!! He absolutely crushed it. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dom!!!

We hired Dominic to be our wedding DJ and he went above and beyond what we expected of him. He was very responsive, and respectful and did a great job with the playlist. Also, he did a great job working with our coordinator to make sure everything was on schedule and going according to our wedding agenda. Our dance floor was on fire the whole night! We would highly recommend him!

We’ve now been to 3 weddings (including our own) with Dom as the DJ. When looking back at a wedding, there are three common key areas that a guest judges on. 1) Atmosphere, 2) Food, and 3) Music. Arguably, the music is what makes or breaks the memories. If you have a bad DJ, you’re likely not gonna have the best time, regardless of the food or atmosphere. At the first wedding with Dom, we walked away saying what an amazing wedding and how good of a time it was and that we never stopped dancing. At the second wedding, we had the same exact review and asked our friends afterward, only to find out that yeah, they got their DJ from our friend's wedding because he was so good. When it came to ours, we went with a tried and trusted source and really didn’t look anywhere else. My brief to Dom was that we were going to have a tequila-based bar and we wanted the wedding to build up from dinner into the dance hall; once we start dancing, don’t let it stop. The entire night, we never sat down and it was exactly what we wanted. Dom read the crowd and kept everyone on their feet. I can’t thank Dominic enough and appreciate the care and time he put into hearing what we wanted our night to be and bringing that to life. It’s hard to trust people with something as important as your wedding, but we had 110% confidence in Dom and would hire him time and time again.

My husband and I had very high expectations for our wedding DJ, and not only did Dominic not disappoint, he went above and beyond. Dominic was so helpful, friendly, and professional from the get-go: they were responsive and attentive to our questions and requests, understanding in working with us and our budget, and communicative and receptive in making sure we were all on the same page in terms of the atmosphere we were trying to achieve. Any bride and groom know that wedding planning can be a stressful experience, but Dominic took so much stress off our shoulders and put our minds at ease; we were totally assured we were in good hands.
When our wedding day rolled around, Dominic delivered—the reception was phenomenal. Dominic played our requests, but also mixed in some excellent music choices that had everyone on their feet from start to finish (there was not a single moment when people were not turning up on the dance floor). My husband and I come from families of different cultures who speak different languages, but Dominic managed to create an effortless fusion of music that had both of our families dancing and mingling, which is so important when celebrating a marriage! At the end of the night, we were thrilled to hear so many positive remarks about Dominic’s DJ set. In short, look no further: Carpe DM is a 5-star, standout, and they will make your wedding everything and more!

Leading up to the event, Dominic was great about communicating - fast to respond to any questions, arranging meetings, and being very clear on what they needed from us and when. It’s also worth highlighting that Dominic was early for every meeting we had.
Dominic was able to play all the songs we wanted, made great suggestions for songs that we weren’t sure about, had a great mix of tunes from the ceremony through cocktail hour, and kept the party going strong. Dominic made hiring a DJ one of the easiest choices for our wedding. He exceeded all of our expectations in terms of excellent communication and service, and would absolutely be our first choice to DJ any event we have in the future.

Matt and I were married on 04/01/17 in San Juan Capistrano. The only thing that my husband really cared about for our wedding, was the DJ. He wanted everyone on the dance floor the entire time and Dominic made that happen! We wanted to make sure that we weren't just hiring a DJ, but a professional MC to guide our wedding. I'm so glad we were able to get Dom and he didn't disappoint! We had Dom as our DJ. We had FaceTime meetings with him before the wedding so he would get to know us better and know what kind of music we liked. Matt and I were all over the place and DJ Dom was a true pro and put the perfect soundtrack to our wedding together. During dinner... we had MULTIPLE guests come up to us and say how the music was amazing! And then... the dance floor! For hours, nobody left the dance floor. We were all pumping our fists, sweating, and having the time of our lives. Several couples at our wedding asked that night for his information for their own weddings. Thank you Dom for making not only my husband's one request come true, but for giving me and our guests one hell of a dance party! True professionals. Hands down... you can't go wrong with these guys. As my husband said 6 months ago... "if this is going to be the best night of our lives, let's do it right and have the best vendors possible". Thank you for going over and beyond our expectations!

HOLY MOLY these guys are amazing. I got married on November 12, 2016 and Dominic was very prompt with his emails and was extremely thorough with all the details. He worked well with not only me, but with keeping in touch with my coordinator before and on our event date. Dominic came highly recommended by our Photographer, and it turned out we had a million friends in common as well (small world). We sat down with Dominic about 3 weeks prior to our wedding and we really got to know each other's personalities. To say he NAILED it would be an understatement. The wedding was beyond perfect in every outlet, but most all of our compliments were about our music. We gave him an idea (and some examples) of what we liked and didn't like, but more importantly, we wanted him to just "be a dj". He was incredible, read the crowd perfectly, and wasn't a cheeseball on the mic. I would 200% use Dominic again...in fact, I can't wait till the next event we need a DJ for. Thank you so much guys!!!!!

Dominic facilitated the conversation and was professional from the start. He is super responsive and extremely resourceful. My wife and I had 3 virtual calls prior to the event date in order to iron out the scheduling details and music genres and Dominic took that and ran with it. The team has weddings down to a science - trust them and trust these reviews because there's no way our wedding would have gone as well as it did if it wasn't for Dominic. He had every guest on their feet for hours and facilitated every transition with grace. Our wedding was at an outside venue and required three equipment setups (sound for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner/reception) and everything went flawlessly. Their price is fair for the professionalism DJ Carpe DM brought to our event. Thank you so much for everything, we'll never forget it.

SERIOUSLY THE BEST DJ EVER!!! I'm telling you- THIS IS THE GUY/COMPANY TO USE. Do NOT look any further. I learned about DJ Carpe DM from a friend, who referred Dominic. We had a phone meeting and luckily, he wasn't booked. We hit it off. He understood everything we wanted. I was sold immediately. After booking, my husband wanted a few minutes to sit down with him and feel him out. Andrew could NOT be happier. He loved Dominic. Dominic not only understood what we wanted but had great additions and suggestions in what we'd like and he NAILED it. We felt so comfortable having him, as we wanted to have a great PARTY. Picking the DJ was huge since it was such a pivotal part of the reception. We gave him song ideas and genres mainly and he KILLED it. Our big day came, and he showed up at the proper time to set up all the speakers since our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in different locations. He rocked our ceremony, with no slip-ups on when to play what song. We did not attend our cocktail hour, however, everyone had no complaints. Then our reception, words can't even express how ridiculously amazing Dominic was! Songs were on point, he was energetic, got the party rocking, and it kept rocking ALL night long. There was not one minute that there was no one on the dance floor (minus speeches) We wanted a party and we got the BEST one. Song choices, and song placement, he took what we wanted and ran with it. I couldn't, and still can't, thank him enough for DJing our wedding! We're almost 2 months post wedding and we are still hearing compliments on how awesome our DJ was!

Without a doubt, hire DJ Carpe DM for your wedding! Let's just say the music MADE our wedding day. Our DJ (Dominic) has been a friend of my husband and I for years (since college) and we used to see him DJ at random college gatherings (Thursday nights at TGIFridays! woot woot!) and he was incredible back then. Fast forward 10 years and Dominic has made DJ'ing his full-time career and is incredible at it. We had been telling him for years that one day we would get married and he would be our DJ. Well, when that day finally came, we knew who our DJ would be without question.
The great thing was that Dominic didn't treat us any differently because we were his friends. He was incredibly professional. He scheduled a meeting with us, and asked us some great questions about what we were looking for in our wedding. Our likes and dislikes. Must have's and must NOT have's. He even helped us with the schedule for the day so he could create the entire vibe of the day through music. On the day of our wedding, we got TONS of compliments from our friends about the music. From the arrival of guests through the cocktail hour, dinner, and then (most importantly) the dancing! Every moment was perfectly executed and you could just tell he knew how to control the moments through music. We'll never forget that day and how much fun we had. We owe a lot of that to Dominic!

My husband and I hired Dominic for our wedding last Spring. He was a recommendation from our wedding planner and we are VERY happy we went with him!
We met with Dom and communicated a lot during the whole process. He was very quick with his responses, which definitely relieved us of any stress. The entire process was seamless. Dom took the time to get to know us, what we liked and what we didn't like. The set list ended up being everything we wanted and more! He even sent me a playlist after the wedding of the entire event from start to finish. On the wedding day, Dom's timing for everything was spot-on. From the ceremony procession to the cocktail hour to the dance floor. Not a single moment was the dance floor empty! We would definitely call DJ Carpe DM again!

Dom came on less than a week before our wedding on Saturday 11/14 and totally killed it! He was absolutely great, Dom didn't get much direction from us, but he knew exactly what he was doing and got everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor and kept them there all night! Next time I need a DJ I will 100% call DJ Carpe DM again!

From the beginning Dominic was so professional and organized, making the whole process easy and smooth. He communicated with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy and getting our needs met. Having Dominic as our DJ, we cannot rave about him enough. He did our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception music and gave us exactly what we wanted. He was so great at reading the crowd and transitioning between songs--he's amazing! I seriously want to have another party just so that he can DJ. After the wedding, everyone came up to us saying how incredible the DJ was and how he set the tone for such a fun wedding. We are so grateful to Dominic for making our day so special and for all his support.

"DJ Carpe DM" came highly recommended to us from a friend of ours in the LA area. We had Dominic as our DJ, and he did a fantastic job with the music selections from the start. Everyone spent most of their time on the dance floor, and Dominic kept the energy high. He cares about making your day as special as possible and will work with you to get it right. We had to plan our wedding from a distance, and Dominic was willing to accommodate our schedule and walked us through the entire process.

My husband was in charge of one thing for our wedding--the music. He researched a few companies and ultimately selected DJ Carpe DM? From the beginning, Dominic provided great customer service and was quick to answer any questions that we had. Dom was our DJ -- he is incredibly professional and kind - he completely gets the idea of NOT being a cheesy DJ. We had the opportunity to meet with Dom before the wedding and discuss our likes/dislikes - he helped organize the night (it almost seemed too easy). Everything went great the day of - Dom was engaging but kept it classy, which was perfect considering it was our wedding and not a birthday party. Everything went on schedule and flowed great as well! Cheers and happy dancing!

With so many things to worry about for a wedding the DJ was one that I thought "oh we could just plug in an ipod", well I am SO glad I found this guy and realized that would be a huge mistake. I first spoke with Dominic, who never gave me a salesman speech and who totally worked with me so that we could find a way to make our budget fit for what we needed at my ceremony and reception. Dominic took the time to constantly keep the lines of communication open and followed up all the way through until the wedding was over. So enter Dom, see ya later Ipod idea! Shocker, a real person who basically drives the flow of the entire wedding is one of the most CRUCIAL things at the ceremony and reception! He was awesome, super accommodating for my somewhat schizophrenic song lists and really took the time to come out to the venue before hand and make sure the sound would work with multiple setups. Day of, he killed it and totally went with the flow of the craziness and set the tone for the whole day. I also worried about someone using that weird "dj" voice and Dom is so not that cheesy DJ guy, it felt like one of my buddies up there! Anyway, if ever there was a service that deserved 5 stars, it's this guy.
